I picked up my Nook before going to bed, thinking I’d play a little game and drift off to sleep. Instead I noticed the book War Horse. I had forgotten I had downloaded it. With the movie hype, I wanted to read it. Lo and behold was I surprised when I finished the book less that two hours later. I had no idea it was a kids book. Not that it’s a bad thing, I read kid and teen books all the time. I like to know what my kids are reading. It was a fine book, I am just surprised they made a movie out of it. I read it, but I doubt I’ll be rereading it any time soon…or later for that matter. If you like horses, or would like to know what war is like from a horse’s point of view, this is a good book for you.
