Square

If you are a small business, you need to know about Square. Especially if you don’t have an actual store front or if you do lots of business in restaurants, coffee shops or at your client’s business. I’ve been using Square for a number of months for processing credit cards. At craft fairs, I have gotten more business because I offer people the option of “saving their cash” and using their card instead – Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex. With a little reader that plugs into my Droid, I can swipe away, send receipts and the money goes right into my account the same day. People get a kick out of signing their name with their finger on my phone. What makes it even sweeter is that, I just found out Square has dropped their $.15 per transaction fee. Awesome!

Here’s the article I read: http://techcrunch.com/2011/02/22/mobile-payments-startup-square-ups-the-ante-drops-transaction-fee-for-businesses/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Techcrunch+%28TechCrunch%29&utm_content=FaceBook

If you want your own Square reader, here’s their site: https://squareup.com/?gclid=CLrH5NG1nKcCFQUSbAodCy-cbw

And I know, two posts in one day, but I just couldn’t wait to share this.
