Late Night Anger

Ah, the angst of a college student. This is one I did while living in an apartment that had a great view of the San Francisco peaks and was just down the road from NAU. The strange thing is that I remember Ben, a friend, calling me from his apartment (even though it was late at night) because he could see that my lights were still on.  I also remember slicing off the tip of my finger with the mat knife as well. I was a little upset. And the next day I ended up at the hospital because it hadn’t stopped bleeding. Oooops, I guess I should have gone in that night because they said I should have had a stitch put in. Instead I ended up with a big wade of gauze over it.

The funny thing, is that even though it’s not a big painting, it is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I have no idea where it is. I let a friend borrow it so she wouldn’t have blank walls in her new house during my baby shower and never got it back. Because as friendships are, they sometimes bloom and fade.

I am hoping that, through Facebook, that we’ll be able to communicate. We semi-recently befriended each other. But she’s not on there very often, and she never posted back on the comment I left on her wall. Even if she didn’t have it anymore (it has been 13 years), it would be nice to know.
